Weather is notoriously unpredictable in Iceland….
It’s a bit like being home in Rogaland, Norway – potentially all seasons in one day, whatever month it is !!!!
So, we are used to it, and are prepared.
We will be closely monitoring the Icelandic Meteorological Office (IMO) website, as we travel through Iceland.
We will also be closely monitoring the Road Conditions and Weather, via Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration.
Another useful tool on this website is the road Webcams, that offer an observational insight, into road conditions and traffic flow.
Of course we are hoping for good / pleasant weather throughout our adventure, but we know Iceland, and are prepared for all possibilities.
We arrive in Iceland Thursday 06 July.
The weather forecast for our arrival is unfortunately not so good (at this point in time…) – High precipitation (rain) on the south coast (our line of travel).
Hopefully, conditions will change for the better by the time we arrive.
