Neil Seeks New Job

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Now that we are back in Norway, and all the equipment has been cleaned, fixed, sorted, and placed into storage, we need to return to normality.

Tuva and Dina have returned to school, whilst Anja and Gunnar have returned to their jobs.

However, for Neil this is a challenge, as he is still out of work (unemployed), and is still seeking new career / work opportunities in the Sandnes / Stavanger region, Norway.

If anyone knows of any job opportunities in this area, now or into the future, please feel free to contact Neil.

Thanks a lot for your considerations…….

Gunnar has been working on improving this system for quite a while now.

Below shows “Live” test example from today.

This map displays “live” or “real time” tracking data of the location of Expedition Vehicle 1.

So, from now on, friends and family can follow our movements in Iceland, “live” throughout the day, as we explore.

New Equipment: GoPro Hero 5 Black

ICE2017 Team has upgraded its GoPro equipment set, with a new GoPro HERO5 Black.

GoPro HERO5 Black is the most powerful and easy to use GoPro ever, thanks to its 4K video, voice control, one-button simplicity, touch display and waterproof design.

This fantastic new additional equipment will add to our pool of GoPro cameras and equipment.

We really look forward to using this new “toy”…..

Hopefully, we will have a lot of high quality videos to share with you from our Iceland experiences.

Seeking SPOT Personal Tracker Sponsor

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

ICE2017 Team are hoping to find a Sponsor, that will help us acquire a SPOT Satellite Personal Tracker.

This piece of communication equipment, will form a vital safety connection with the world, when operating deep within the central highlands of Iceland, where normal mobile phone coverage is either very limited, or simply not available.

It will form a SOS / Lifeline, should any emergency situation take place, and as such is seen as a vital piece of expedition equipment.

Any SPOT Satellite Personal Tracker Sponsorship (old or new model) will of course be tremendous.

If you have one that you could donate as a sponsorship item, we would love to hear from you – please Contact Us.

Thank You ?
